How to take care of your Prowse & Hargood shirts

To ensure that your shirt remains in the best possible condition, please remove the collar stiffeners before washing and check the care label on the shirt. For best results, you should wash at 40OC (unless otherwise stated on the product) with a light spin to retain some dampness. Tumble-drying your Prowse & Hargood shirt is not recommended. For best results, we recommend you iron your shirts when they are still slightly damp.

How to take care of your Prowse & Hargood ties

Always store your Prowse & Hargood ties untied. It is recommended that you roll them up when you are not wearing them in order to reduce creases and restore their natural bounce. You can use reputable stain removing products on your ties however; it is recommended that you send them to a professional dry cleaner.

Shrinkage allowance

Cotton is a natural fibre and is therefore likely to shrink slightly over the first few washes. Because of this we include a shrinkage allowance when we produce our shirts so that initially, the may be slightly larger than you expect. After a couple of washes, they will revert to the size stated on the label.
